The title really speaks for itself…
My mind has been elsewhere lately and for that I apologize, dear blog reader. But you should be comforted to know that a lot of my creative efforts and time have been spent with the band. It’s a lot of fun to play with these gentlemen. We all really want to start playing shows as soon as we can. However, I think it’s our first priority to make this album. We’re nearly ready to get Lance into a studio so he can track drums. I think we’re hoping to have something in the vicinity of 12 songs on the album. That includes a cool and epic intro and maybe a fancy little jam (and we have many).
Now on the topic of shows. Back in April, I had hoped we’d be ready to go by now. We’re close, but the chances of July seeing a debut concert from This Infernal Machine is slim. I think I speak for everyone in the band that we are confident August will be our time to shine. But that leads to another piece of news. If August is the month we get this train a movin’, Brady will be unable to join us due to his other musical obligations. Fortunately for us, we’ve talked to Mat Raynor (the original bassist of the band) and he is happy to fill the position while Brady is absent.
More news later.. I may even post a demo soon…
