Hehehehehe Poppy Delight…
So as I’m sure you’ll see in this video, we have found ourselves a new bassist. If you have followed my musical history since my teen years, you’ll know that having my brother Brady, Lance and myself in a band together is somewhat of a reunion of sorts. The three of us were in a band back in high school called LePetomane. That was a lot of fun although 75% of the time, we were playing Incubus and Tool songs. Fortunately with this band, that isn’t the case. We’re stoked to have Brady on bass. And for the record, I believe this is the final line-up change. At this point, there will only be additions, if in fact we choose to go that route. I am, personally, fine with a 4 piece. I think I speak for Lance and Nate when I say that we are bummed it didn’t work out with Mat. He just felt he wasn’t able to dedicate enough time to this project. He’s a force to be reckoned with on the ol’ 5 string and I look forward to what he’s going to do in the future with music.
I think that it is safe to say that these rehearsals are not only for playing live, but also we’ve more or less entered pre-production for the new album. We’re looking at studios at the moment. I think we’ve managed to narrow it down to a few possibilities. Recording should begin sometime in August and the album should be out sometime really early next year. But seeing as how I am a music fan myself and knowing that if I were on the other side of this and I was being delivered news that THIS INFERNAL MACHINE’s debut full length album won’t come out for another 6 months, I would be bummed about the wait. Well, fear not, dear reader. If you’ve followed this blog, you’ll already know that Uncle Cory’s gotchya covered. I’m working on an Acoustic EP right now. A couple blogs back, I even gave out a track listing. If you’re eager to know what is going to be on it, scroll down!!! In short, it’ll have songs from the forthcoming full length as well as two songs that won’t be heard anywhere else but on the EP. Well that’s not entirely true because you can listen to one of the exclusive tracks in the entry before this one. It’s called “Ladybug”. It’s a poppy delight. Do you see how good I am to you? The EP should drop sometime in early Fall.
In any case, there is your dose of all things me and music. Now go watch the video blog a few hundred times!!!
